Cal Sans

Cal.com's own typeface, drawn by Mark Davis of WORDMARK. One variable file holds three optical sizes and four styles, and it's free for anything you make.

One file, every size

Cal Sans started as a headline face. People set everything in it anyway, so v2 was redrawn to work from a 10px label to a billboard.

Three optical sizes

The same line in each cut, at the same size. The smaller the cut, the looser the spacing and the wider the openings. Browsers pick the cut from the point size.

A11yOpen forms for reading at small sizes.
UIFor interfaces. This site's body text.
BaseThe classic Cal Sans. This site's headings.
GeoRound, geometric forms for display.

Four styles on one axis

The geometry axis runs from A11y, the most open, to Geo, the roundest. This site sets its text in UI and its headings in Base.
